Tour Lille’s old town with a local guide!
Welcome to Lille, the capital of Flanders
This walk will take you through the streets of both the old town called “le Vieux-Lille” and the more modern part of the city. During our walk, you will see Lille’s prettiest monuments and learn about the way people lived here through the ages.
During this walk you will see “La grand place”, which is the main square, you will enter the chamber of commerce to see its amazing architecture, but also Our lady of la Treille cathedral, often considered one of the most epic construction of the XXth century. We will tell you more about Louise de Bettignies of the first women to become a spy during WW1.
Bring an umbrella and some warm clothes as the weather in Lille can be a bit temperamental… Also bring a comfortable pair of shoes (heels and cobbled stones don’t mix too well!)
